“Autoimmunity and the Environment- How did we get here?”

We are excited to have Dr. Chris Magryta give a presentation at the Center for the Environment next Thursday, October 3rd.

Dr. Magryta, a physician with Salisbury Pediatrics, has a special interest in pediatric allergies, asthma, autism, and immunology. He has studied Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona School of Medicine and provides specialized care in prevention and nutrition; combining alternative medicine with traditional medicine.

His talk titled “Autoimmunity and the Environment – How did we get here?” will explore the latest understanding of the genesis and reality of a country with an exploding autoimmune disease problem. What do we know and where do we go from here?

Following Dr. Magryta’s talk, we invite you to join us for a local food tasting provided by Bread Riot, a local nonprofit promoting the advantages of eating locally and sustaining our local farmers.

The event is free and open to the public but registration is required via this link. https:www.catawba.edu/autoimmunity
