

On September 24, we will have the honor of hosting one the great thinkers of the American environmental movement – David W. Orr.
The title of his talk is ”North Carolina in a Hotter Less Democratic Time…Unless”
An examination of how our democratic government is changing and how this interrelates with climate changes and efforts to lower the future impacts.
Orr is a Paul Sears Distinguished Professor of Environmental Studies & Politics, Emeritus.
He is the author of eight books, including “Dangerous Years: Climate Change and the Long Emergency” (Yale, 2016) and “Down to the Wire: Confronting Climate Collapse” (Oxford, 2009) and co-editor of three others.
