Join us for a thought provoking presentation by Barbara Finamore on Monday, November 4th at 6:30 PM in the Center for the Environment at Catawba College.
Barbara Finamore has nearly four decades of experience in environmental law and energy policy. In 1996, she founded NRDC’s China Program. She served as president and chair of the Professional Association for China’s Environment (PACE) and is the co-founder and president of the China-U.S. Energy Innovation Alliance. Finamore holds a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School.
Finamore recently wrote an NRDC book, Will China Save the Planet?, on China’s role in combating climate change. China has rapidly changed from a coal production power house to the global leader on renewable energy production in just a few decades. This transformation, and it’s global impacts will be the focus of her presentation.
